Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome! Whether you have a spiritual background from a Methodist church or other denomination or are a new seeker, you are welcome here. If you want to find God and follow Jesus but are not sure how, come and we can start you on your path. We want you to feel at home here.

When are your worship services?

Saturday – 5:00 PM (in the chapel)

9:00 AM (contemporary), and 10:30 AM (traditional)

What can I expect before and during worship service?

We greet each other before and after the service to create and strengthen our connections to each other.  We invite you to join us for a cup of coffee in the Narthex (lobby) after each of the Sunday services.

Don’t be surprised to have someone greet you and introduce themselves. We play music and sing to worship God during our services. We may use video, visual art, dance or acting to express the message.

What should I wear to church?

Our congregation comes from a variety of religious backgrounds and as such, there are many styles of dress, from t-shirts and jeans to suit coat and tie.  Most importantly, we want you to be comfortable here!

Do you take communion?

We take Communion on the 1st Sunday of the month to remember that Jesus gave his life for our salvation.  We are an open table church, meaning you do not need to be a member of our church or any church to partake in communion.  All we ask is that you seek a relationship with Jesus and ask forgiveness for your sins.  If you choose not to participate, we ask that you remain seated in an attitude of prayer.

Where can I park?

Parking can be a challenge here. We have reserved spots on the south side of Silver Spring Drive for seniors and those people with special needs. You may park on the north side of Silver Spring, on the north side of Glen Ave, and the west side of Danbury. The parking lot on Danbury is owned by the Christian Scientist Church and is not available for our use. We also provide a transportation service to homebound friends so they can join us in worship.

What is Wednesday Night Live?

On Wednesday nights from September to May, we offer family friendly dinners from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. After dinner, we offer classes, choirs, and fellowship.
