The Blood Center is in need of all healthy people in our communities to consider a blood donation if qualified. As illness continues to soar into the winter, fewer donors will be eligible and patients will be increasingly in need in our hospitals. Sometimes the greatest gifts are free – give blood!
Our next blood drive will be held in our UMCWFB Fellowship Hall on Thursday, January 7.
Appointments are available from 2 – 7 p.m. Please call or text Jim Schacht at (414) 332-2834 if you would like to donate. Or sign up online at versiti.org.
Special precautions will be taken to keep everyone as COVID-safe as possible. Donors will be directed to enter the church building via the south entrance only (near E. Glen Avenue) and go directly down to Fellowship Hall, so the rest of the building will not be affected. All donors and Blood Center staff will wear masks. Social distancing will be practiced (all donors 6 feet or more apart) and there will be a pre-screening prior to entering the donation site (temperature check and questions).
Also note: A COVID-19 Antibody Test will be performed on all blood donations as part of standard testing.
